matí lightening design, since 2007 under the direction of Hanspeter Keller, has established a substantial reputation in the world of art and other museums. Since the firm’s beginning in 1992 – then under shared directorship of Cri Bertozzi and H.-P. Keller – we have created and orchestrated pioneering intelligent and skilful lighting design for cultural projects.
matí lightening design embodies a no-frill aesthetics. In our work with light we investigate with regard to content, dramatization of space, the object and the meaning and function in and of a given context.
A long-standing cooperation with distinguished and prominent architects has led to an accomplished handling of demanding briefs and projects.
We a have generous studio with space to view sample lighting: the in-house workshop allows us to build mock-ups and non-standard lighting devices, allow lighting testing and the staging of spatial settings.
It is after all, more inspiring to experience the impact of different lighting strategies directly, than just to discuss them.

Since more than 30 years matí lightening design stands up for innovative, holistic and committed lightening solutions. A team of top-class professionals in the fields of lightening design and technical support guarantees broadly based expertise and know-how. An own special department of the company concerns itself with planning and illumination of exhibition projects. Our open-spaced studio corresponds brilliantly with our philosophy of interdisciplinary discourse. Regular intense exchange of experience and know-how, intelligibly organized working processes, some enabled means of controlling and, last but not least, our flat hierarchies make it possible to find efficient solutions for all lightening demands. Projects using Building Information modelling are in expert hands with us as well..
Our aim is to find the optimal approach to a technical as well as aesthetic solution, custom-tailored to each set task.
Our main areas of activity cover medium to large projects of highly qualified demands on the quality of lightening design such as auditoriums, foyers, representative business premises, art museums and ecclesiastical architecture, as well as objects which demand means of preservative or safety measures.
