HSLU Perron Mieterausbau
With the five-story, 180-meter-long new building “Perron,” Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is expanding its academic and research facilities in the immediate vicinity of Lucerne train station to accommodate approximately 3,000 students, 6,500 continuing education participants, and 400 staff members. For the tenant fit-out, the lighting solution for the classrooms, lounges, meeting rooms, and auditorium features a diffused light that, thanks to its diffuse luminaires, creates an inviting and presence-filled atmosphere in the space. In contrast, the office spaces and library feature a delicate, glare-free linear luminaire integrated into the active ceilings, which maintains a calm ceiling appearance and enhances the view of the surrounding mountain panorama. In addition, adjustable spotlights are integrated into the linear system, allowing light to be directed at specific areas—such as artwork or plants—to highlight the working environment in this large space in a varied and appealing way.
