The China department of Museum Rietberg is one of the outstanding collections of Chinese art in Europe. Making the valuable ceramics optimally visible was a major challenge. Conventional display-case lighting becomes unnecessary when the shelves themselves emit light. We turned this innovative idea into reality for Museum Rietberg. Cast shadows and light reflections in the glass are a thing of the past—the view of the precious ceramics is unobstructed and no detail remains hidden.
