Built on the potter’s wheel and shaped freely by hand, Margrit Linck’s oeuvre is a tribute to the medium of clay. As the first woman in Switzerland to open a pottery workshop, she moved effortlessly—driven by creative energy and artistic freedom—between applied and fine art. Her constant engagement with form, expression, and technique continually gave new impulses to the craft and made her a pioneer of ceramics. Her ‘icons of everyday life’ are still produced today in the Linck Keramik manufactory. With works from all phases of her career, drawings, and photographs, the exhibition presents this important design legacy and offers insight into Margrit Linck’s ongoing search for new forms.
