Japan has a rich design tradition. To this day, the island nation continues to inspire with an abundance of distinctive and outstanding works and designers. In Europe, designers from the postwar period are especially well known. The contemporary scene, by contrast, has remained largely invisible. *Japanese Graphic Design Today* brings this generation into focus. Featuring graphic designers all born between 1973 and 1993, the exhibition offers a current overview of the Japanese scene. Many originals and works never before shown outside Japan provide insight into the remarkable diversity of today’s design practices.
