Which new objects does the museum add to its collection? Why does it research the provenance of its older holdings? How do designers, aspiring curators or very young people engage with the collection? For the first time, the museum places different perspectives on its collection at the centre of an exhibition. Seven viewpoints address analogue and digital design methods, virtual objects, the perception of posters, provenance research, personalities from Swiss graphic design history and design in urban space. From these starting points, “Collection Insights” examines selected collection objects from different angles and explores how collecting, exhibiting and mediation are interconnected within the museum.
