Art museum for contemporary South American art in the centre of Rio de Janeiro. Lighting concept, planning and commissioning for the exhibition rooms, public areas and outdoor spaces. Our task was, on the one hand, to achieve room lighting of above-average uniformity and, on the other, to enable exhibition makers to create strong accents on individual objects. Special luminaires were developed for the appropriate lighting of the long, lofty corridors and the imposing entrance hall of the neoclassical building. Outside, we opted for atmospheric, calm and yet spatially expansive illumination.
